Welcome to the 2018 Ottawa Improv Festival!

Yes, we are back! This is the third year in a row our team has brought you acts from around Canada and even some from the U.S.! We are so excited to celebrate the art of improvisational theatre with you, and we’ve planned a weekend that’s even bigger and better than ever.

Here are a few of our featured acts:

K$M (Toronto)

K$M, pronounced K & M, splices the quick-witted comedic minds of Kirsten Rasmussen (Second City, Canadian Comedy Award Winner for Best Female Improviser) & Matt Folliott (Now Magazine Nominee for Best Male Improviser) and delivers a completely improvised show inspired by the movie Groundhog Day. K$M are 2015 Canadian Comedy Award Nominees for Best Improv Troupe and you can catch Kirsten and Matt on your TV screens in shows like Odd Squad, Make it Pop, Schitt’s Creek and some of your favorite commercials.

Coko & Daphney (Toronto)

Back by popular demand from the 2016 Ottawa Improv Festival! (We can’t tell ya how many people were asking for this very funny duo to return.) Together, they have performed all over North America including Montreal, New York, Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia, and most recently, Just For Laugh’s alternative festival OFF-JFL/ZOOFEST. They also performed at the Harbourfront’s Annual Kuumba Festival’s first Women in Comedy Showcase: Black Like She. Come watch these two friends explore their funny, fresh perspectives live and improvised.

Big Bang (Boston)

The cast members of Big Bang represent some of the best improvisers from the Boston Improv scene since 2000. They’ve made appearances on television, stage, film and festivals all over the world. Big Bang is directed by Will Luera, a member of the Boston Improv community since 1997. He is the current Director of Improvisation at Florida Studio Theatre, Artistic Director Emeritus of ImprovBoston and a globally renowned improv and theater actor, director and instructor that performs and teaches regularly all across North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

And that’s not all…

We’re only getting started! We have loads of other hilarious acts to tell you about and information about tickets, workshops, special late-night shows and tons more. Keep an eye on our website and on our Facebook page! Get your tickets here.
